One down…
Tuesday, April 29th, 2008…six to go.
We’ve just sent off for our Mongolian visas. If all goes well, we should have our passports back by Friday. Just in time for me to pick up the car.
EDIT: Woop, I’ve just received our letters of invite to Russia. We only need a few more of those…
Visas visas visas…
Monday, April 21st, 2008We’re almost at the stage where we can start applying for our visas. My shiny new biometric passport with lots of extra pages arrived today. I’m not a huge fan of the birds on the pages…but hopefully, by the end of the summer, most of them will be obscured with lovely, colourful rubber stamps and [...]
TAKING LIVES BACK FROM LEUKAEMIA
Wednesday, April 16th, 2008I’ve set up a justgiving page for our new charity, the Anthony Nolan Trust.
I’ve worked quite closely with their student wing, Marrow, at Cambridge for the past couple of years and am really happy to be able to raise money for them. This is a cause I feel quite strongly about. You can donate money [...]

Why not just fly there instead? This got me thinking about how much CO2 we’d be emitting, and ways to offset these emissions.
I stumbled upon [...]
Initial Progress
Wednesday, April 9th, 2008So, we’ve been signed up for a few weeks now and preparations are getting well and truly under way. We’ve paid our entry fee, built this website, researched cars, routes, visas, vaccinations and equipment, and in general it’s all finally starting to feel scarily like this is really happening.
We’ve just about acquired all the information [...]
Wooo first post.
Tuesday, April 8th, 2008After about 5 cups of tea and numerous attempts at revising and dissertationing, Adam and I have finally managed to make a semi-functional website! Whoopeee!
We should have most of it up and running in the next few weeks, including why we decided to do this (back in November?), our plans for the trip, and most [...]
